It wouldn't work with the original xbox, but if you get the cable whitch is probably available at gamestop or bestbuy it would only work with any xbox 360 not original xbox

What do i need to add to the old xbox to play kinect?
im getting the new xbox slim xbox 360 for christmas with kinect and im worried about the xbox not working the new one im getting but i aint to bothered bout that longs i can play kinect, i was wondering what do i need to buy to use kinect with the old xbox i hear you need a adaptor or something but what do i need?What do i need to add to the old xbox to play kinect?
