I want to get an xbox but I recently heard that the new xbox (Xbox Natal) will be coming out November this year. Is it an add-on that I could use with an xbox that I buy now, or is it a complete system that you can't use with an xbox 360.

It's an add-on to Xbox 360. There's rumours about it being released as a whole new system, a design revision, etc, but Microsoft has publicly announced that none of these rumours are true, and Project Natal will be fully compatible with all Xbox 360 consoles. Pricing has not been announced for the add-on peripheral (sensor) that allows Project Natal to work.
