Is the xbox 360 arcade as good as a normal xbox 360 or xbox 360 elite?

because i wanted to get my brother an xbox for christmas but i have no idea which one to get him.Is the xbox 360 arcade as good as a normal xbox 360 or xbox 360 elite?
the only difference is,



the arcade does NOT have a hard drive (the normal xbox360 comes with 20GB / 60GB and the Elite comes with 120GB harddrive) it only comes with a small 256MB memory card.



He will want a harddrive if he wants to put music / movies on there or play online and download demos and games to the harddrive.



It isnt backwards compatible so it cant play any of the Original Xbox games.(unlike the normal Xbox360 / Elite)

Even though the arcade might be more enticing because of the cheaper price should go with the premium or maybe an elite if ur a real serious gamer :)....anywho the arcade is pretty limited it doesnt have a hardrive which you need to play orginal xbox games, so you cant also download new maps for games which is required to play online, the arcade only comes with standard cable cords, and it doesnt come with a headset so if you intend on playing on live and are a somewhat serious gamer go with the 360 premium or elite but if ur a casual gamer and dont plan on playing online go with the primitive aracade lol :)
its the same but it just has a 256mb card instead of a hard drive and i really dont see the difference between hd cables and standard

but if your brother is young like around 9-11 then you should get him an arcade because they dont use xbox live and dont care about it but if he is older then you should get a pro or elite

im not sure but i think you cant go hd without a seperate cable
ok get the regular xbox 360 pro and here is why.

there is not a harddrive on the arcade so it cant play regular xbox games, you cant go online on xbox live ( the amazing online experience) and theres a chrome finish on the cd tray. with all my calculations the pro is definatly the best deal.
