make sure cables, are in secure, and in the right places then try turning it on again.

Talk to them. Unless you voided your warranty its free for repair. Talk to Microsoft Sam (the machine) and he will hook you up to a real person who will register your console and then make a repair order for you.
They will send you an empty box and you put your 360 in there and send it back to them. You are without a console for 2 or 3 weeks but you get back a working one. Free. Warranty is 3 years for Red Flashing LIghts.
