How can I fix my Xbox when it has one red dot?

I have an Xbox (not an Xbox slim) E82 error (it only shows on red dot when I turn it on). I know it is supposed to be a ventilation error, but it is all completely cooled off now and won't turn on. Am I able to fix this somehow? If so can you give a link, but please make sure it is not a link that tells you about Xbox slim. ThanksHow can I fix my Xbox when it has one red dot?
I know that it is a venelation problem and that this will sound wired but wrap your xbox in blankets for about 20 to 30 minutes and then let it cool. Formsome reason this works. While in the blankets it needs to be on. Try to cover all the vents.How can I fix my Xbox when it has one red dot?
try unplugging all the cords from the back and then plugging them in and making sure they are secure and fully in.

also have your xbox so that all the fans can be ventilated, (even if this means standing it vertically)

but beware, standing it vertically can mess up your discs over time.

well the xbox is very easy to open up so look it up on youtube how to open xbox 360. you will be amazed at how much dust is in there! just clean that out and put it back together and it will work. Make sure you get under the disk drive...
