I think its called FTP. I have a non-modded original Xbox(not Xbox 360) and I want to connect it directly to my laptop, so I can transfer files from my laptop to my xbox or gamesaves that I downloaded from the internet to my xbox. I hope I don't need to mod or softmod my Xbox to do it. Can anyone please walk me through the steps and the things that I might need to do it? Sorry, without a modification on your Xbox it's not possible to connect the Xbox to your Laptop.
You could try to get special adapter cables to transfer savegames to a memory unit, and then copy this Memory Unit onto your Xbox.
Otherwise you need to mod your Xbox to run a media Center application or other unlicensed software on it, which will eventually ban you from Xbox Live some time.
