Can I play on Xbox Live on an original xbox, with xbox 360 players?

If that didn't make sense...

I have an original xbox and I am planning on purchasing xbox live but my friends have xbox live with xbox 360.

if they have the same xbox games that i do, can i play online with them?

Or is the original xbox network not connected to the xbox 360 network?

Some people don't know how to read... *sigh*



You can play with them, but they have to have the original xbox game and connect to it. (Example- I play Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory with my friend who has it for original xbox, but you cant connect to the 360 server, (that means they cant use a mic or use messaging)).



Just host a room, or join in and play, and some of the people can be from 360, but you wont be able to talk to them.
