It's definitely convenient, but the older the games are, the less you will get for them. Xbox (non-360) games will probably only get $1 if anything. The 360 game could get you anywhere from $1 - $30. You might have better luck on Ebay if you have the patience for it.
I'm not sure if this is a store wide thing or if it's just for the one in my area, but gamestop has stopped taking xbox games and accessories, so you might have to use ebay.

Gamestop has stopped buying original xbox games and accesories, and once there current stock is gone, they won't sell them either. They just started that a few weeks ago.
