How come when i play xbox live COD 5 when i get stabbed by a player, that other player is far away from me?

How come basically whenever i get knifed playing CALL OF DUTY WORLD AT WAR ON XBOX 360, XBOX LIVE. When i get stabbed from a player, the player is like 5 steps away from me, he isnt even close to me, and he stabbs me? Than on the kill cam it shows hes 5 steps away from me and kills me. This pisses me off lol.How come when i play xbox live COD 5 when i get stabbed by a player, that other player is far away from me?
its called a lung just like in call of duty modern warfare you can lung your knife a few steps away from the player.
it all depends on you internet connection speed the lower it is the more it lags and you go slow but the other players will be far away as they will have a faster connection

Its because your internet is laggy and slow so on his screen it is showing him right behind him but on yours he is far away

its called lagg, u have slow internet or the other player has really good internet
