I want to connect the xbox to xbox live but i dont want to spend $100 for an adapter, let me know if their is a cheaper wireless adpaterWhat is another xbox wireless adapter that will work that is cheaper?
Yes there is of course cheaper adapters. If you say go to a pawn shop they will probably have one. I went to my Pawn Shop yesterday and the wireless adapter was only 60 dollars, but since i live in new york city near Manhattan its prices are really up. If you live somewhere else the price for the adapter in a pawn shop will be very low. Search up some Pawn Shops closes to you. I guarantee you that you'll find one.
AND if you cant find one in a pawn shop look in Ebay.com or Amazon.com or any other websites that sell things.
Hope this helped
I know the cheapest way to connect is a wired connection. Just plug the wire into your router or modem and then plug it into your xbox. Also if you don't have your xbox yet just buy the slim. It has built in wireless, and the whole thing costs $299 (the same price as the other xboxs available)What is another xbox wireless adapter that will work that is cheaper?
the way i did it was pick up a WRT54g router for 25 bucks on ebay and install WRT-DD firmware on it, it allows the router to accept the wireless signal and dispense it out by ethernet cables. So instead of an adapter i have a router that gets teh job done. IT takes a little bit of technical knowhow, but if you do some research and follow the directions you should get it done.
craigslist. got mine for 40bucksWhat is another xbox wireless adapter that will work that is cheaper?
I just run a $10 ethernet cable out to mine (though, granted, I had to drill a 1/2 inch hole in the wall to do it... not really all that noticeable, though). You get better speed and a more reliable connection on a wired connection than on wireless anyway.
You can pick up a ASUS WL-330g for around $70. That's probably the cheapest you could get, though.
