How do i connect my XBOX 360 to my home theater system?

I recently purchased a Phillips Micro Theater system and I want to connect it to my xbox? my xbox is connected to the tv through YPbPr at the moment and the micro theater is through the scart connection. Im baffled!! can somebody help? How do i connect my XBOX 360 to my home theater system?
There's two options you could do. If you have an hdtv, plug the blue, green, and red cables into the tv and plug only red and white audio cables (they have a speaker icon imprinted) into your theatre.

If your home theatre supports optical sound, it's even easier. Go ahead and plug the same three blue, green, and red into the tv. Then you'll need to purchase an optical cable. One end will go into your home theatre. The other end will go into the xbox 360 video cable

Keep in mind, if your micro theater is already connected to the TV's audio out via the scart connection, you should already be able to hear your xbox as long as your xbox has an audio cable/s connected to the TV. YPbPr (analog component) is just for video, so you need an additional audio cable coming from the xbox to the tv.How do i connect my XBOX 360 to my home theater system?
hdmi is better than component ...period. That being said if you have a receiver run hdmi from your xbox to it then another hdmi from your receiver to your tv. If you dont have a receiver then just run hdmi to your tv.
we have ours connected through our receiver. with the hdmi running through our dvd recorder .
