What are the differences between Xbox and Xbox 360?

I feel like such a retard for asking this question. But I'm clueless. I just need to know the differences between them; I know Xbox 360 is better and all, but what can it do that the Xbox can't?? It can play xbox 360 games for one. It does have backwards compatibility with some regular xbox games, something like 300 or 400, but not all of them, YET. Also has better graphics, an HD DVD Player if you opt to buy it. Different controllers, that have different button layouts, and are wireless. There are wireless for xbox too, but not made by microsoft, made by generic names. Also has a detachable hard drive. USB ports in front and back. There are a few differences with Xbox Live, as well as a dashboard. A very nice dashboard, you can personalize with your own image and such. Quite a few different things. And it just looks better!
some X-box games it can play (There's a list on xbox dot com if I remember right) but the big difference is games and graphics. If you have a HDTV then the 360's graphics looks amazing, but even without them they're good. Personally I like the 360 more because there's much more games coming out for it than the X-box right now, but keep the X-Box just in case and see what games don't play on the 360,just in case.What are the differences between Xbox and Xbox 360?
the 360 has much more hd capacity the 360 doesn't require a memory card because of the hard drive the 360 has a bigger media center the controller are arranged different and of course the colors
Xbox 360 is different than Xbox because the Xbox 360 has high definition graphics, and can can play games from the original Xbox. I think it can play xbox games but the main difference is the next gen and the graphics. It is in high def which the picture is way better. Also they arent making any more games for xbox.
Well, X Box has no good graphics like XBOX 360.

The XBOX 360 has a high digital card , so the games look better, plus , you can connect the XBOX 360 to your TV
well the xbox is cool but the xbox360 has more games and is totally better in management.xbox360 can only except some games from the xbox system.if you buy the the xbox360 it has a list of games from the xbox that you can play on xbox360.i have both but i personally prefure the xbox360.thats what you should get!unless you are on a bugget.xbox is cheaper.

The 360 can play both types of game (if the Xbox game is compatible) has better graphics you don't need a hookup for playing DVDs Xbox live is also enhanced its tall and skinner and white it breaks easier and more expensive ( all of those are for the 360 the Xbox is the opposite
The 360 has a million upgraded features that the original didnt have. They all include games, picture quality, memory, accessories, and different things involving entertainment.



They no longer make games for the Xbox anymore, so youre stuck buying used older games to play something new. On top of the bigger selection of games, the 360 games are on HD DVD discs that have a significantly better picture quality.



When it comes to saving your games, both systems use an internal hard drive as storage. The 360 hard drive is much bigger (20 GB) and is removeable so it can be played on a different system.



Everything else on the 360 has been upgraded from the original xbox. It has the option for wireless or wired controllers, online chat and communication, and better media upgrades.

Well first of all WTF. Second of all the 360 allows you to download content, such as full length HD movies, and game add-ons. There is a list of backwards compatible xbox games that can be played on the 360. The controller has also been improved dramatically, and its wireless on the premium system. The main difference is the seamless integration of the dashboard and xbox live. Absolutley brilliant. I actually picked the 360 over any other next gen console. Hope I've been of assisstance.
360 can play xbox games. It also is newer, has better grahpics, and more games. Thats pretty much it. (Plus xbox live is a little better)

The xbox 360 has ALOT better graphics and is really good with an HD TV. You can also buy an extra HD DVD player to hook up to the 360 so that you can play HD DVD movies. The xbox 360 has alot more features and you can use it to sync to your PC or Zune. And yes, the 360 can play regular xbox games. Check my source for more info.
