Whats the difference between Xbox and Xbox 360?

Lots of people are telling me that the Xbox 360 is so much better than the Xbox? But I don't know what the difference is.Whats the difference between Xbox and Xbox 360?
It is not like comparing psx and PS2. Xbox 360 is considered a next gen system. That means better graphics and inclusion of things such as downloading games from live arcade (they are like old arcade games, not xbox or 360 games).



Also, the graphics aren't that much better unless you have a HD-TV and the wires to support it. Otherwise they are slightly better than xbox which is what has caused some people to say it's not really next gen. The controllers are different and wireles standard as someone has said, but you can also still buy either wired or wireless controllers. 360 has 2 versions as well a core or premium model. The premium model comes with a 20gb hard drive, the core does not but it can be purchased (you will need it for live and emulators).



360 plays 360 games, it can play a selected list of about 100 (last time I checked) xbox games. In order to do so you must download an emulator from xbox live for each game. I am also told that you can request an update disc from MS to do the same for you.



Right now the game library of 360 isn't great. Unless you are a hardcore racing, FPS and sports gamer there isn't much for you on 360 right now. There are more games to come but I don't know dates of release for those. If you're just looking to get a console, get an xbox (or ps2 or gamecube) over a 360 right now. I own one and it's just not all it's cracked up to be.

Well, for one the controllers all come wireless standard, the graphics a better, the processer is a LOT more powerful and there are a whole bunch of other things but I can't remember right now.Whats the difference between Xbox and Xbox 360?
